KT CEO Park Yoon-young checks AI infrastructure, urges group to boost competitiveness

KT CEO Park Yoon-young inspected AI infrastructure operations on Wednesday at KT Cloud\'s Mokdong 2 data centre in Seoul. The visit reviewed the status of KT\'s AI data centre business and the group\'s data centre operating and technology capabilities under its AI transition platform strategy. Park toured the integrated control centre and key facilities and checked data centre interconnection operations. He also visited the AI Innovation Center to review development and verification of next-generation AI data centre technologies.

KakaoBank to provide 17 billion won in loans to small merchants in six Seoul districts

KakaoBank will supply about 17 billion won in loans to small merchants in six districts in Seoul in cooperation with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation and the districts. The bank said it signed a business agreement for special contributions to support local economies. The programme follows a 10 billion won special contribution announced in May, with 5 billion won earmarked for district-linked support. Eligible merchants can borrow up to 100 million won.

Hana Financial to cooperate on financing support for urban advanced logistics complex development

Hana Financial Group will work with Seobu T&D to provide financing support for an urban advanced logistics complex development project. The group plans to combine Hana Bank’s corporate finance capabilities with Hana Securities’ investment finance expertise, cooperating across all stages including project financing arrangement, co-investment and financial structuring. Hana Financial said it signed a memorandum of understanding with Seobu T&D on June 26 to strengthen cooperation.
