China memory module maker Longsys forecasts up to 744-fold jump in H1 net profit on AI memory tailwinds
Chinese memory module maker Longsys forecasts first-half net profit attributable to shareholders of 9.2 billion to 11.0 billion yuan, up about 622 to 744 times from a year earlier. It also expects revenue to rise to 22.0 billion to 25.0 billion yuan from 10.2 billion yuan. The company cited a recovery in memory demand and limited supply expansion, and said it renewed long-term supply deals to stabilise its supply chain.

Memory prices set for another surge, up to 50 percent in Q3, AI-driven supply crunch seen until 2028
Memory prices are expected to jump 40 to 50 percent in the third quarter of 2026 from the previous quarter and rise another 30 to 40 percent in the fourth quarter. Jefferies Equity Research sees little clear improvement through 2028, citing supply shortages driven by rising AI demand. Long-term contracts and delayed capacity additions could keep consumer supply tight, while a U.S. lawsuit alleges major makers inflated prices.

Dowoo Information to supply YMTC consumer SSD brand ZHITAI in South Korea
IT distributor Dowoo Information said on Thursday it signed an official distribution agreement in South Korea with ZHITAI, the consumer storage brand of NAND flash memory maker YMTC, and will launch a next-generation PCIe SSD lineup. The products include PCIe 5.0 models TiPro9000 and TiPlus9100, and the PCIe 4.0 TiPlus7100s. The company said competition is intensifying as AMD and Intel platforms support PCIe 5.0 SSDs.
