Kakao union rejects blame for talks breakdown, says company distorted facts

Kakao’s union issued an official rebuttal over the breakdown in wage talks, saying the cause was repeated bad-faith bargaining by the company rather than differences over performance bonuses. The union said the company highlighted only parts of the talks to portray it as demanding excessive bonuses. It also denied that a 10 percent of operating profit bonus was its demand. Mediation is set for May 18, with a rally planned for May 20.
