SK Chairman Choi Tae-won to open EBS \'Great Minds\' with lecture raising AI social issues

SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won (최태원) will appear as the first speaker in season 6 of EBS\' \"Great Lessons, Great Minds\". SK Group said he will appear on EBS 1TV at 11:45 p.m. on weekdays from Oct. 12 to 16 under the theme \"AI, a new capitalism and youth\". His lectures cover the role of business, the economy and society in the AI era, an AI-native society, Korea-Japan economic solidarity, and discussions with young people.

Ku Hyuk-chae pledges support for young researchers to pursue tech startup dreams

Ku Hyuk-chae (구혁채), first vice minister at South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT, visited Seoul Bio Hub on Tuesday to review on-site support for young entrepreneurs at the Seoul Hongneung research and development special zone. The visit was part of the ministry\'s Project Empathy 118 programme. South Korea\'s banks are ramping up open recruitment for the second half of the year, refining hiring by job type rather than selecting general candidates in bulk. Major lenders are keeping a framework focused on finance and sales staffing while carving out separate tracks for regional sales, corporate finance, AI and platform development, information security and accounting. Some are also adding or expanding specialist and global tracks and recruiting experienced professionals alongside entry-level hires.
