Kraken launches cryptocurrency payment card in UK and Europe with up to 2 percent cashback

Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has begun issuing debit cards for users in Britain and the European Economic Area. Users can spend cryptocurrencies and cash held in their Kraken accounts, with payments running on the Mastercard network and conversions available for more than 600 currencies at purchase. Kraken says it does not charge its own payment or ATM fees. Cashback of up to 2 percent depends on average balances and is paid weekly in bitcoin, euros or pounds.

Toss Bank debit card customers top 10 million

Toss Bank said its debit card customer base has surpassed 10 million as of June 30. Cumulative debit card payments reached 3.1 billion by the end of June, with offline transactions accounting for 89.5 percent and online transactions 10.5 percent. Transportation was the largest category at 24.2 percent. People in their 20s made up the biggest share of cardholders at 25.1 percent, and the oldest customer was 106.
