Blockchain.com wins Cayman custody licence after MiCA and UK FCA approvals
Blockchain.com has obtained a virtual asset service provider licence from the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, allowing it to offer cryptocurrency custody services locally. Cointelegraph reported on Aug. 6 that the licence was granted on July 22. The company can also provide regulated crypto-to-fiat and crypto-to-crypto exchange services in the Cayman Islands. The authority had issued conditional approval in December 2025.

Ripple invests in Zylo and Liquido to expand tokenised capital markets
Ripple has made strategic investments in UK-based Zylo and Liquido as part of a push to expand tokenised capital markets. It plans to introduce regulated transfer agency functions, issuance and collateral mobility on the XRP Ledger, aiming to reduce idle collateral and broaden the use of tokenised financial assets. Zylo provides transfer agency asset solutions for asset managers, while Liquido is regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority.

Survey shows 58% of UK Gen Z use AI to decide where to invest
Eight in 10 Gen Z investors use artificial intelligence to get investment advice, and 58% say they would use it to choose where to invest, an Opinium survey cited by TechRadar showed.
