Hardware flaw found in Trezor\'s latest crypto wallet chip cannot be fixed by software update

A hardware-level vulnerability has been found in a security chip used in crypto hardware wallet maker Trezor\'s latest product, Trezor Safe 7. The company said users\' funds and private keys are not affected and that the practical difficulty of an attack is very high. The issue was identified during an independent security audit by Ledger\'s Donjon research team. Already sold devices cannot be fixed with firmware updates, and Tropic Square is producing a revised chip.
