JackXBT says use a dedicated iPhone instead of a hardware wallet; industry pushes back
Danny Sanders, chief commercial officer at Trezor, pushed back against blockchain investigator JackXBT’s recent criticism of hardware wallets. JackXBT wrote on Telegram that all hardware wallets are “complete trash” and advised using a separate iPhone dedicated to fund storage and transaction signing. Sanders said complaints about urgent software and firmware updates are understandable, but argued JackXBT generalised from experienced users handling large sums.

Hardware flaw found in Trezor\'s latest crypto wallet chip cannot be fixed by software update
A hardware-level vulnerability has been found in a security chip used in crypto hardware wallet maker Trezor\'s latest product, Trezor Safe 7. The company said users\' funds and private keys are not affected and that the practical difficulty of an attack is very high. The issue was identified during an independent security audit by Ledger\'s Donjon research team. Already sold devices cannot be fixed with firmware updates, and Tropic Square is producing a revised chip.

10 crypto wallets for beginner investors; security, usability and chain support are key
With more people investing in cryptocurrencies, choosing a wallet suited to beginners has emerged as a key task in 2026. The Crypto Basic introduced 10 wallets for newcomers based on security, usability and supported networks. It said wallets should balance strong security with a simple user experience and support features such as two-factor authentication, encrypted private keys, biometrics and recovery-phrase backups. It also highlighted multi-chain support and listed software and hardware wallet options.
