NCSoft aims for quarterly growth on legacy, new IP and mobile casual three pillars
NCSoft posted a clear earnings rebound after achieving its biggest-ever first-quarter PC sales. The company said it will pursue continued quarter-by-quarter growth based on three pillars: expanding legacy intellectual property, globally launching new IP and ramping up mobile casual. Co-CEO Byung-moo Park said he was confident revenue and operating profit will keep rising quarter on quarter and year on year. The company highlighted Lineage Classic, plans for Aion2 and the integration of Germany\'s JustPlay.

NCSoft posts sharp rebound in first-quarter profit on success of new releases
NCSoft said its first-quarter revenue rose 54.7 percent from a year earlier to 557.4 billion won, helped by consecutive hits from new releases Aion2 and Lineage Classic. Operating profit jumped 2,070.1 percent to 113.3 billion won and net profit rose 306.4 percent to 152.4 billion won. PC game sales hit a quarterly record. The company plans to start global service for Aion2 in the second half.

NCSoft targets 5 trillion won revenue by 2030 with predictable growth model
NCSoft plans to move away from an MMORPG-heavy business model and build a predictable growth model, it said. The company aims to generate cash from existing IP such as Lineage while diversifying into shooting, subculture and action RPG games and mobile casual titles. It outlined three growth pillars: upgrading legacy IP, expanding new IP through in-house development and publishing, and scaling mobile casual games using data-driven testing and live operations.
