Cardano joins RWA tokenisation race, ranks fifth in growth among major chains

Cardano ranked fifth among major blockchains for 30-day growth in tokenised real-world assets (RWA), with value rising 23.1 percent to $55.3 million, The Crypto Basic reported. The ranking, compiled by the RWA Foundation using Token Terminal data, compared monthly RWA value growth across ecosystems. Cardano is smaller in absolute size than top chains but outpaced some large networks in growth. Its ecosystem is also expanding RWA infrastructure and partnerships.

Pavel Durov signals Telegram will add in-house \'Gram\' cryptocurrency wallet

Telegram will introduce an in-house non-custodial \'Gram\' cryptocurrency wallet in its messenger app this summer, designed for users to send and receive self-custodied crypto within the app. Founder Pavel Durov said users will be able to transfer cryptocurrencies instantly and without fees, though Telegram did not disclose a release date or further technical details. The announcement follows TON’s plan to rename its token from Toncoin to Gram.

Hanwha Ocean misses Canada submarine bid but secures export path and local partnership network

Germany’s Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems has been selected as preferred bidder for Canada’s next submarine procurement project, while the Hanwha Ocean-HD Hyundai Heavy Industries team was named a backup supplier and lost a bid valued at 60 trillion won. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney called it a close decision. Hanwha Ocean said it could not overcome NATO considerations, but retained a reserve role and expanded local partnerships in Canada.
