Cardano ranks fifth among major blockchains in the growth rate of real-world asset (RWA) value over the past 30 days.

The Crypto Basic, a blockchain outlet, reported on July 24 that the value of tokenised RWAs on the Cardano network rose 23.1 percent over the period to $55.3 million.

The ranking was compiled by the RWA Foundation based on Token Terminal data and compared the monthly increase in RWA value by major blockchain ecosystems. Cardano is smaller in absolute market size than higher-ranked chains, but it outpaced some established large networks in the pace of growth.

Avalanche rose 22.6 percent, but its RWA market size was $2.5 billion. Sonic increased 22.1 percent to $124.2 million. Frax rose 18.4 percent to $39 million, and BNB Chain gained 16.5 percent to $9.2 billion. Ton rose 6.4 percent to $670.4 million, rounding out the top 10.

Some networks posted higher monthly growth than Cardano. Robinhood Chain surged 11,416.2 percent to $323.7 million to rank first. Tempo grew 74.3 percent, Monad rose 36.7 percent and Plume Network gained 35.7 percent.

The RWA market is expanding on the tokenisation of traditional financial assets. In this trend, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has projected that the RWA market could reach $10 trillion by 2030.

Cardano is also accelerating the expansion of related infrastructure. Cardano took part in a project in which the London Stock Exchange (LSE) introduced Members Capital Management's MCM Fund I, and the investment record was left on the London Stock Exchange's private blockchain. UK digital asset exchange Archax tokenised the fund on the Cardano blockchain.

Cardano's ecosystem is also broadening its RWA asset classes through partnerships. Earlier this year, Kinka teamed up with EMURGO to issue a gold-linked token on Cardano. EMURGO also worked with compliant tokenisation platforms such as Haus, OpenEden and DigiFT to put private credit, U.S. Treasuries and insurance receivables factoring assets on the network.

Cardano's RWA expansion is moving beyond simple asset growth to a trend showing what assets are actually flowing into the network. The overall market size still lags major chains, but the past month’s growth rate and a string of tokenisation projects show Cardano is moving in earnest into competition over asset-tokenisation infrastructure.
