Tmap Auto tops 1 million cumulative vehicle installations after 14 years
Tmap Mobility said on Tuesday that cumulative vehicles fitted with its in-car navigation solution, Tmap Auto, exceeded 1 million. It marked 14 years since it first supplied a navigation solution to automakers. The company said its infotainment strategy, integrating an AI agent, apps and content, helped drive growth. Tmap Mobility said it supplies more than 20 auto brands and plans to advance Tmap Auto into an AI mobility agent.

Mobility platforms return to profitability amid intensifying margin battle
South Korea’s three mobility platforms improved profitability last year, led by Socar’s operating profit of 23.2 billion won and TMAP Mobility’s first annual net profit of 23.3 billion won. Kakao Mobility also raised profitability by close to 20 percent. The companies cut or reshuffled non-core operations and expanded data- and AI-based revenue models. Each is now focusing on core strengths, including car sharing, data expansion and physical AI and autonomous driving.
