KOSPI rebounds above 8,000 after one day, buy sidecar triggered
South Korea\'s KOSPI recovered above the 8,000 mark a day after a sharp fall, ending up 440.25 points, or 5.76 percent, at 8,088.34. The Korea Exchange triggered a buy sidecar in the main board market after mini KOSPI200 futures rose 5.10 percent. Institutions were net buyers, while individuals and foreigners sold. The won strengthened against the dollar.

Chinese companies showcased new products across connectors, power semiconductors and sensors, areas long seen as dominated by global firms. The event highlighted moves toward system-level applications, from AI servers to EVs. Passive components in mainland China largely remain third-tier globally, leaving gaps in high-end technology.

Woori Bank will hold its first large-scale offline concert to mark the launch of its culture and arts platform, \'To the Moon\'. The bank said the \'WELCOME TWOTHEMOON\' concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 4 at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Yongsan, Seoul. The event will be free. Platform members can receive free invitation tickets through an event on the platform\'s website and app starting on July 3.
