SpaceX considers buying data from bankrupt startup for Grok training
SpaceX\'s AI unit has internally reviewed a plan to buy customer information and operating data from a bankrupt startup and use it to train Grok, according to a report. The discussions remain informal and may not lead to a transaction. The unit is focusing on digital assets from defunct startups that cannot object, including customer files and operational records. Similar bankrupt-data deals have raised privacy and consent disputes.

Anthropic has unveiled its new AI model, Claude Fable 5.1, which took the top two spots in an external language-model ranking shortly after launch, ahead of rival models from OpenAI, Google and others. In Artificial Analysis scores, Fable 5.1 variants scored 66 and 65, while Claude Opus 5 scored 63. Anthropic also reported higher performance on its benchmarks, kept token pricing, and cut cached-context reread costs. It also introduced Claude Mythos 5.1 with restricted access for high-risk fields.
