[DigitalToday reporter Jae-won Choi] Elon Musk (일론 머스크)-led space company SpaceXAI has removed the AI name from the official social media account for its AI division. It is seen as a move in step with a policy under which U.S. President Donald Trump is to refer to AI as Super Intelligence (SI).

On Oct. 13, local time, SpaceXAI changed the display name of its official X (Twitter) account to "SpaceX Super Intelligence". It also changed the account handle from "@SpaceXAI" to "@SpaceXSI".

The change was a step Musk had personally foreshadowed. On Oct. 4, Musk posted on X a message meaning "No more AI." When a user asked about the possibility of changing the account name to "SpaceXSI," Musk replied, "I will change it that way."

Musk on Oct. 10 posted a screenshot of the changed account on his X. The AI division's official account did not issue a separate notice about the name change.

The account name has changed, but the official website still carries the existing name. The website address remains "x.ai," and the term AI is still used in internal service descriptions. The copyright line at the bottom of the homepage also remains "SpaceXAI LLC."

It has therefore not yet been confirmed whether the move will lead to a change in the official corporate name or the website address.

Behind the name change is a policy by Trump. Trump signed an executive order on Sept. 29 and directed federal government agencies to use the term SI instead of AI in official documents and websites. It does not, however, mandate private companies to change names.

Tesla, also led by Musk, made a similar move. The X account for Tesla's AI division changed its handle from "@TeslaAI" to "@TeslaSI" and its display name to "Tesla Super Intelligence."

The change is a rebranding, not an announcement of a new AI model or a technological achievement. It is drawing attention because the Trump administration's terminology policy is being reflected in Musk's companies.
