Cardano Foundation joins x402 with Ripple, Visa and Google to target AI transaction infrastructure

The Cardano Foundation has joined the x402 Foundation, which is pursuing an artificial intelligence-based internet payment standard. It will take part in governance discussions on a next-generation, internet-based digital payment standard. The move puts the Cardano ecosystem in the same discussions as Ripple, the Solana Foundation, Coinbase, American Express, Google, Amazon Web Services, Stripe, Shopify and Visa. The x402 Foundation is a Linux Foundation-launched organization focused on neutral, community-led operations.
