Robotaxis to begin test runs in Kazakhstan in 2027 under inDrive, Pony.ai, Nvidia tie-up
Ride-hailing platform inDrive will work with Chinese autonomous driving firm Pony.ai and Nvidia to start robotaxi test runs in Kazakhstan in the first half of 2027, beginning in the capital Astana. The companies plan to link Pony.ai robotaxis to inDrive’s app, with Nvidia providing AI technology including its Hyperion platform and Halos safety system. Tests will start with safety operators onboard, with a long-term goal of fully driverless operation.

Recursive unveils free AI-built coding model Flint that runs on laptops
AI startup Recursive, founded last year, has unveiled Flint, a free coding model that runs on laptops, TechCrunch reported. The company said most of the development was done with AI using its automated research system, Eureka Machine, helping a small team build the model in under four months. Flint runs on users’ computers, works offline, has no usage-based charges and is available for free download on Hugging Face.

Krafton unveils 30B-class LLM \'Raon-1 Mini\' to boost cost efficiency
Krafton unveiled a preview version of its self-developed 30B-class large language model, Raon-1 Mini, on Oct. 21. The model supports Korean and English and was released on Hugging Face ahead of an official launch under an Apache 2.0 license. Krafton said the model uses a mixture-of-experts structure and its own linear attention technology to improve response speed and inference cost efficiency.
