Minimax seeks to raise $2 billion in funding
Shanghai-based AI developer Minimax is seeking to raise $2 billion, with more than half to come from issuing new shares and the rest from convertible bonds. It is also pursuing a $6.5 billion convertible bond offering maturing in 2027, allowing investors to obtain 19.4 million shares at 12.6 percent above Thursday’s close. The company’s shares fell 9.8 percent after the fundraising news.

Samsung Electronics unveils 2 nm and SRAM roadmap at SAFE Forum
Samsung Electronics said it is expanding cooperation with domestic and overseas partners to broaden the AI semiconductor ecosystem. It held SAFE Forum 2026 in Seoul and presented its next-generation foundry technology strategy and plans to expand ecosystem cooperation. About 400 people attended, with 21 partners showcasing solutions. Samsung also unveiled a DTCO strategy, a next-generation 2 nm process and plans to strengthen SRAM competitiveness, while joining initiatives such as M.AX and K-CHIPS.

Nukeproof unveils Kilowatt e-MTB platform with Avinox drivetrain
Bicycle maker Nukeproof has unveiled its new Kilowatt electric mountain bike platform fitted with the Avinox e-bike drivetrain. The line will come in four models, with two alloy and two carbon versions, priced from 3,999 pounds to 7,999 pounds. It features 160 mm front and 150 mm rear travel, supports a mullet wheel setup and can switch to full 29-inch wheels. Most models use an 800 Wh battery and the Avinox M2S motor.
