Samsung to end Samsung Messages service in July, switching users to Google Messages

Samsung Electronics will end its proprietary text and chat service Samsung Messages for Galaxy phones in July and replace it entirely with Google Messages. The company posted an end-of-service notice on its official website and strongly recommended that users change their default messaging app. Switching to Google Messages enables RCS-based features such as high-resolution media sharing and group chats, though some customization may be limited for some users.

Notifly launches LINE message-sending feature

Graybox, the operator of marketing automation and messaging platform Notifly, said on Monday it has launched a LINE message-sending function for customers in Japan and other Asian markets. With the update, Notifly now supports LINE in addition to Kakao notification and friend messages, SMS, email, app push and in-app messages. Marketers can automate tailored messages based on user behavior and monitor results in real time on a unified dashboard.
