Government to expand security support for SMEs after Anthropic Mythos warning

The government will distribute guidelines and provide consulting for small and medium-sized companies to respond to security threats linked to Anthropic\'s AI model Mythos. Vice Minister Ryu Je-myeong said it is important that SMEs can properly cope, and that guidance for CEOs and security officers will be rolled out. The ministry is also discussing Korean participation in the Mythos Glasswing project and will reflect security upgrades in next year’s budget planning.

Autonomous Manufacturing AI World Show opens in Seoul

The 2026 Autonomous Manufacturing AI World Show (AMWS 2026) opened on April 27 at the COEX Grand Ballroom in Seoul. Organisers said the event focuses on shifting beyond AI innovation in manufacturing to a stage of “actionable autonomous manufacturing,” where AI judges processes and directly controls robots and equipment. The programme includes keynote talks on policy, technology and application strategies, plus an exhibition of manufacturing AI, robots, digital twins and AI vision.

KB Financial says it created 828.6 billion won in social value in Q1 through inclusive finance

KB Financial Group said on Wednesday it created 828.6 billion won in social value in the first quarter of 2026 through inclusive finance and social contribution activities. It said its “social value performance” converts the social impact of ESG management activities in financial and non-financial areas into monetary value. The group reported 348.1 billion won from youth, SMEs and regional balance initiatives, and 349.0 billion won from public living safety efforts.
