LG to use Nvidia AI for humanoid, to unveil bipedal robot in 2027 Q1

LG will integrate Nvidia artificial intelligence technology into its humanoid robot development and plans to unveil a next-generation bipedal humanoid in the first quarter of next year. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding at Nvidia headquarters in Santa Clara, California. The robot will use Nvidia’s Jetson Thor along with Isaac GR00T and the Halos for Robotics safety system. The partnership also covers robot data and AI factory projects, plus mobility platforms based on Nvidia Drive Hyperion.

Ndotlight raises 15 billion won to expand 3D data for robot training

Physical AI data company Ndotlight said on Tuesday it raised 15 billion won in funding. The round was led by KDB Industrial Bank, with follow-on participation from existing investors Naver D2SF, IMM Investment and Capstone Partners. NH Venture Investment, OurCrowd and Stonebridge joined as new investors. Ndotlight will use the proceeds to upgrade its generative CAD engine and physical-property database and expand integrations with Nvidia Isaac Sim and Omniverse workflows.

LG AI Research industrial-focused AI strategy gains traction, stands out on global benchmarks

LG AI Research said its in-house models EXAONE Tabular and EXAONE Forecast achieved best-in-class performance on global leaderboards. EXAONE Tabular ranked first overall for categorical data prediction on TabArena, scoring 1,760 ELO points, ahead of Google’s TabFM. EXAONE Forecast ranked first in the zero-shot category and second in agentic AI on Salesforce’s GIFT-Eval. The institute plans PoCs in manufacturing, bio-healthcare and finance.
