Woori Financial Group held an April council meeting on financing for advanced strategic industries, chaired by Chairman Lim Jong-ryong (임종룡), to review first-quarter results and second-quarter tasks for its 80 trillion won Future Shared Growth Project. SKT to work with Arm, Rebellion on AI inference server solution
SK Telecom is developing an AI inference server solution that combines a graphics processing unit and a neural processing unit. The company signed an MOU with chip designer Arm and AI chip startup Rebellion to jointly develop a solution that uses Arm’s Arm AGI CPU and Rebellion’s Revel Card, due in the third quarter. SKT plans to validate the solution at its AI data center and review running its A.X K1 model on it.

AI chip startup Rebellion raises $400 million in pre-IPO round
AI chip startup Rebellion has raised an additional $400 million at a valuation of $2.34 billion in a pre-IPO round ahead of a planned initial public offering this year, TechCrunch reported. The round was led by Mirae Asset Financial Group and the Korea National Growth Fund. Rebellion said total funds raised reached $850 million, including $650 million raised in the past six months.
