Cowin Robotics completes AI robot simulation development to apply to U.S. ESS project
Cowin Robotics said on Sept. 15 it has completed development of AI-based robot simulation technology and will apply it to global robot automation projects. The company said the system can verify layouts, movement paths, work sequences and takt time in a virtual environment before robots are installed, synchronising real production and logistics data. U.S. effectively bars Chinese batteries for power grids, putting energy storage market on alert
The fast-growing U.S. energy storage market could face a near-term shock as moves accelerate to cut reliance on Chinese-made batteries, raising worries about delays and higher costs. An executive order issued in late August under the Trump administration bans installation of foreign-made large-scale power system equipment deemed a national security risk, covering battery energy storage systems as well as inverters and transformers. Analysts say projects could be delayed while rules are clarified.
