LG Electronics to boost OLED leadership, defend premium segment with scarcity
LG Electronics is rolling out its 2026 OLED TV lineup, combining record-high brightness with ultra-low reflection technology to defend its position in the premium market. It unveiled the “The Next OLED” range in Seoul, highlighting new color and AI processing features, along with upgrades to sound and webOS. The company also introduced new form factors, including a wireless wallpaper TV. An executive said limited global OLED panel supply would prevent rapid price commoditisation.

Brookfield to launch its own AI cloud business
Private equity firm Brookfield is starting its own cloud business, saying it can reduce AI development costs. It aims to move beyond owning or developing data centres by leasing chips inside them to developers. The push is tied to a new $10 billion AI fund and a cloud company it will run called Radiant. Brookfield plans to focus on governments and companies seeking local data storage and will also lease data-centre space to other cloud providers.
