Miso Information Technology, SDT to cooperate on quantum computing for healthcare, manufacturing
Miso Information Technology, a multimodal medical data platform company, said it signed an MOU with quantum technology firm SDT to pursue quantum AI-based QX (Quantum Transformation) projects targeting healthcare and manufacturing. The companies plan to expand cooperation on building a precision medicine-based Quantum Health platform, ultra-precise AI analysis using genomic, imaging and clinical data, quantum AI services for AI hospitals, and joint research on quantum-based high-speed medical AI computing and generative AI.

Block S selected for KISA post-quantum cryptography pilot in finance sector
Block S, a company specialising in enterprise quantum transformation, was selected for the Korea Internet and Security Agency\'s 2026 post-quantum cryptography pilot transition project in the finance sector, it said on Thursday. The company will verify the feasibility of transitioning to post-quantum cryptography in real-world financial environments. It plans to strengthen an integrated enterprise service lineup spanning crypto-asset diagnostics, PQC security transition, quantum education and industry-specific quantum computing use, and expand applications to other sectors.

South Korea draws up nanotechnology master plan, upgrades national strategic technology framework
The South Korean government will step up its next-generation science and technology strategy by drawing up a comprehensive nanotechnology research plan every five years. The National Science and Technology Advisory Council reviewed and approved the sixth nanotechnology master plan for 2026 to 2035 and a plan to upgrade the national strategic technology framework. The government also derived 55 “NEXT national strategic technologies” and plans to invest 60 trillion won in strategic technologies over the next five years.
