Miso Information Technology, a company specialising in multimodal medical data platforms, said on Tuesday it signed an MOU with quantum technology company SDT to pursue quantum AI-based QX (Quantum Transformation) projects targeting the healthcare and manufacturing sectors.
Through the cooperation, the companies plan to expand quantum AI collaboration in areas including building a precision medicine-based “Quantum Health” platform, ultra-precise AI analysis based on genomic, imaging and clinical data, quantum AI services for AI hospitals and research-driven hospitals, medical data analysis for rare and severe diseases, optimisation and predictive analysis of large-scale medical data, and joint research on quantum-based high-speed medical AI computing and generative AI.
In healthcare, the companies plan to build an ultra-precise medical AI analysis system based on vast medical data and genomic, medical imaging and EMR and PHR data. They also plan to combine Physical AI and quantum technology to expand the scope of cooperation beyond healthcare to manufacturing, including AI factories.
Nam Sang-do (남상도), CEO of Miso Information Technology, said, “Beyond the AI era, the ‘quantum AI-based healthcare era’ is now opening in earnest.” He said the company plans to work with SDT to build next-generation quantum AI medical services to solve challenges in clinical settings.
Yoon Ji-won (윤지원), CEO of SDT, said, “Healthcare and manufacturing are areas where data value is the greatest, but they are also the most difficult to handle.” He said that if SDT’s quantum computing technology is added to Miso Information Technology’s domain data assets and on-the-ground know-how accumulated over a long period, it could solve in a new way problems that could not be addressed due to the limitations of existing computing.
