Nexthrus says CertiK joins OneChain mainnet 2.0 validator set

Nexthrus said on Wednesday that global blockchain security firm CertiK has joined as a validator for OneChain mainnet 2.0. CertiK will build its own node infrastructure and take part in block production, transaction validation and network maintenance. The move expands cooperation from externally checking smart contracts and on-chain security to directly operating the network. OneChain mainnet 2.0 adopts a proof-of-stake authority model in which validators produce blocks.

Cardano decentralisation metric hits record high, raising questions over ADA rebound

Cardano posted a record high in its Nakamoto coefficient, a measure of network decentralisation, as the metric rose to 16, according to U.Today. The figure was compiled by Chainspect and shared by stake pool operator Rick McCracken. ADA also rebounded, reaching $0.199 and posting a 18.17 percent weekly gain. Santiment said the rally stood out in volatile altcoins, though the number of wallets holding balances fell by 7,070 from two months earlier.

BNY, Galaxy to offer crypto staking for institutions

BNY will add an institutional cryptocurrency staking service to its digital asset custody platform in cooperation with Galaxy Digital. Eligible institutional clients will be able to stake supported proof-of-stake digital assets and receive rewards without moving holdings outside their custody accounts. Galaxy will provide the staking infrastructure and act as a design partner across BNY’s digital asset platform. The companies did not disclose which digital assets will be supported.
