Sony to end physical PlayStation game discs from 2028, halt optical disc production
Sony will stop producing physical optical discs for new PlayStation games from January 2028. It said new games will be sold only in digital form through the PlayStation Store and retail distribution channels, a move expected to affect users, offline retailers and game preservation groups. Sony cited changing consumer patterns, with digital downloads accounting for 78 percent of game purchases in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026. LG Uplus offers up to 45 percent bill discount on AI subscriptions paid by mobile billing
LG Uplus is running a promotion through July 7 offering customers up to a 45 percent bill discount when they pay subscriptions to generative AI services on the Google Play Store using mobile billing. The offer applies to four services: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Grok. Customers must select LG U+ payment in Google Play and apply through an event page. Discounts are capped at 5,000 won.

NCSoft unveils new title \'Guild Wars 3\' at SGF to launch globally on PC and consoles
NCSoft is unveiling a sequel to its flagship global intellectual property at a major game show as it targets the global multi-platform market. The company introduced \'Guild Wars 3\' for the first time at Summer Game Fest 2026. The MMORPG will be released globally on PC online, Steam and PlayStation 5, marking the series’ first console launch. NCSoft plans a beta test in the second half of 2027 and will include Korean among its service languages.
