Korean game makers diversify growth beyond mobile MMORPGs to PC, console and overseas
South Korean game makers are expanding growth beyond mobile MMORPGs into overseas markets, PC and console, and casual genres. Pearl Abyss and Krafton posted sharp gains as global PC and console titles lifted sales. Netmarble, NC and Nexon added overseas, platform and genre revenues while maintaining core franchises. Krafton reveals details of five new titles for Gamescom 2026, including PUBG IP-based FPS
Krafton on Tuesday released key details on five games it will showcase at Gamescom 2026, to be held Aug. 26-30 in Cologne, Germany. The lineup includes an unannounced PUBG Studio title, along with NO LAW, Project ZETA, Age Twisters and TARAE: The Unbound. The PUBG Studio game is an FPS based on the PUBG: Battlegrounds IP. Krafton will operate a booth in Koelnmesse Hall 9.
