Lotte Energy Materials to invest 50 billion won to expand Iksan circuit foil capacity for AI demand

Lotte Energy Materials will invest about 50 billion won to expand circuit foil production capacity for AI data centres. The investment will target facility expansion at its Iksan plant in North Jeolla Province, the only circuit foil production base in South Korea. The company aims to raise annual maximum circuit foil capacity to 16,000 tons by 2027. It said the move is a pre-emptive investment aimed at both earnings recovery and market expansion.

Semitys to support semiconductor capacity by easing factory logistics bottlenecks

Semitys laid out a strategy to ease logistics bottlenecks in semiconductor factories by combining overhead hoist transport systems with clean conveyors, and to expand into nitrogen purge systems. At a Seoul briefing, Chief Executive Min Nam-hong said the company aims to grow after its KOSDAQ listing. Semitys also highlighted its software capabilities and said it holds order backlog of about 27.3 billion won. It is developing transport robots as a next-generation platform.

Hanwha Semitech unveils chip mounters and AMR at SMT exhibition

Hanwha Semitech unveiled its next-generation chip mounter products at South Korea’s largest surface-mount technology exhibition. The company said it is taking part in SSPA 2026, which opened on Wednesday at Suwon Convention Center in Gyeonggi province, and is showcasing new products including the DECAN S1 Plus and DECAN S2 Plus. It also displayed the HM520W high-speed chip mounter, the T-solution software, and an autonomous mobile robot making its domestic debut.
