SpaceX moves to withdraw Dragon, Falcon 9 crewed missions after 2030, widening NASA low Earth orbit gap

SpaceX has told NASA it plans to stop low Earth orbit crewed missions using Crew Dragon and Falcon 9 after 2030, while supporting the International Space Station through 2030. The move could disrupt NASA’s low Earth orbit commercialisation plans and complicate transport for private space stations. NASA has limited ability to compel flights beyond contract obligations. Qualcomm applied a new package design to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 by moving memory to the side and creating a new path to dissipate heat, aiming to sustain high burst performance longer in top-end smartphones. Chris Patrick (크리스 패트릭) said keeping the SoC cool helps it stay at maximum performance longer. Qualcomm said handset makers may need minor cooling design changes and it is reviewing other packaging approaches.

Anthropic launches Claude service for financial advisers, integrating with BlackRock, Charles Schwab

Anthropic on Sept. 14 launched Claude for Financial Advisers, a service aimed at financial advisory firms. The product links the Claude chatbot with investment analysis and wealth management software from firms including BlackRock and Charles Schwab. It is designed to help financial services companies prepare for client meetings, review portfolios and handle follow-up tasks. The launch comes days after OpenAI released a ChatGPT version for the financial services industry.
