LG Electronics cooling distribution unit wins Nvidia quality certification, first in Korea

LG Electronics said it has obtained final quality certification from Nvidia for its 600-kW coolant distribution unit (CDU) for AI data centres, the first South Korean company to do so. The CDU circulates coolant to cold plates attached to GPUs and CPUs to absorb heat. The company said it will expand Nvidia certification across higher-capacity CDU models and broaden its data-centre thermal management portfolio from chillers to cold plates.

LG heat pumps win series of large European orders

LG Electronics is raising its profile in Europe’s heat pump market with a series of large orders. The company is supplying heat pump solutions to a housing complex of about 1,000 households near Madrid and about 500 households in residential developments in Belgrade. It is installing its Multi V i system in Spain and providing tailored solutions in Serbia using Multi V i and Multi V s. LG is also deploying its Therma V R290 Monobloc across Europe.

LGU+ steps up AI data centre business, targets 5 trillion won in orders by 2030

LGU+ is expanding its artificial intelligence data centre infrastructure business and plans to target the next-generation AI infrastructure market with group affiliates. It aims to reach 5 trillion won in cumulative orders by 2030. The company unveiled its strategy at a construction site in Paju, introducing a modular build method, securing 200MW of power, and building a hyperscale hybrid cooling structure. It also plans to shift toward an \"AI factory operator\" model.
