ITCEN Group chairman Kang Jin-mo to run for Korea Billiards Federation president, unveils four pledges

Kang Jin-mo, chairman of ITCEN Group, is running in the election for president of the Korea Billiards Federation (KBF). Ahead of the vote, he announced four pledges and 12 detailed tasks under the vision of connecting billiards with the wider world. Kang said South Korean billiards has world-class skill and participation but lacks matching industrial foundations and international standing. The election will be held by online voting on Oct. 1.

SKT 24-year sponsorship pays off as South Korean fencing wins medals in all events at Asian Games

South Korea’s national fencing team, sponsored by SK Telecom for 24 years, won medals in every sabre, epee and foil event at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The men’s sabre team beat host Japan 45-44 to claim a fourth straight Asian Games title. SKT said it supported preparations using an AI-based analysis system, SKT-FAN, and has provided cumulative sponsorship worth 36 billion won since 2003.

Qualcomm says agentic AI devices will underpin demand for 6G by creating connectivity needs different from smartphones, as on-device agents exchange inference between devices and the cloud. Durga Malladi said new device makers, including Alibaba, prioritise always-on cloud connectivity for inference over peak data rates. Qualcomm is preparing 6G around connectivity, wide-area sensing and network high-performance computing. It is keeping a 2029 commercialisation timeline and planning a 6G technology demonstration at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
