Apple offers replaceable cover layer for folding display on iPhone Duo
Apple has applied a replaceable protective layer to the folding display of its iPhone Duo, aiming to reduce the visibility of creases that can worsen over time. The company calls the part a “cover layer” and says it is focused on keeping the screen in first-day condition after long use. Apple has also listed cover-layer replacement under AppleCare, with a $19 fee for subscribers, while non-covered pricing has not been disclosed.

AirPods 5 adds ANC, but AirPods Pro 3 still leads on health, fit and noise control
Apple has added active noise cancelling to AirPods 5 unveiled this month, lifting the appeal of its entry wireless earbuds. Differences with the higher-end AirPods Pro 3 extend beyond price to design, health functions, hearing protection and noise control, according to NineToFiveMac. AirPods 5 uses an open-fit design, while Pro 3 uses in-ear tips for a more secure fit. Pro 3 also offers heart-rate tracking, hearing test and hearing-aid functions, hearing protection and stronger ANC.

iPhone 18 Pro may be last model in iPhone X-era design line
The iPhone 18 Pro could be the last model in Apple’s current iPhone design lineage that began with the iPhone X, as expectations grow of a major redesign in 2027, an IT outlet reported. NineToFiveMac said the iPhone 18 Pro may mark the end of about a decade of gradual form-factor changes. Bloomberg previously reported Apple is preparing a new pro-model design with front and back glass curving into the sides, though details are not final.
