SKT 24-year sponsorship pays off as South Korean fencing wins medals in all events at Asian Games

South Korea’s national fencing team, sponsored by SK Telecom for 24 years, won medals in every sabre, epee and foil event at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The men’s sabre team beat host Japan 45-44 to claim a fourth straight Asian Games title. SKT said it supported preparations using an AI-based analysis system, SKT-FAN, and has provided cumulative sponsorship worth 36 billion won since 2003.

K-security SaaS platform gains momentum, targets global expansion

South Korean companies are accelerating moves into security-as-a-service (SECaaS), offering security solutions as SaaS platforms as cloud and AI adoption grows. AhnLab is stepping up domestic and overseas efforts, while MonitorLab has long focused on SECaaS and other firms are expected to follow. SK Telecom is working with F5 on AI cloud security, and LG Uplus has acquired MDR specialist Pago Networks. Naver Cloud and others also outlined new security initiatives.

Netmarble unveiled live gameplay and an original video for its new title \'Shangri-La Frontier: Seven Strongest Species\' at Tokyo Game Show 2026 in Japan. The company held a media presentation in Makuhari Messe on Sept. 17, introducing key systems and content. It also revealed four main features, including strategic combat and the Seven Strongest Species. An original PV made with animation studio C2C was shown for the first time.
