B&H law firm signs MOU with Legal Safety Institute on scientific dispute resolution
Law firm B&H and the Legal Safety Institute signed an MOU on July 1 to build a dispute-resolution system based on scientific and objective appraisals. They agreed to minimise wasteful arguments over facts through scientific appraisal procedures and to present solutions in advance for new types of incidents. They plan to accumulate dispute-resolution cases through an arbitration and mediation centre, including traffic accidents, product liability and facility safety accidents.

Broadcast media commission, interior ministry and gender equality ministry sign AI cooperation deal on deepfake sex crimes
The Broadcast Media Communications Commission, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family signed an AI technology cooperation agreement on June 25 to respond to deepfake sex crimes. The agencies will share an AI deepfake detection and analysis model developed with the National Forensic Service and use it for detecting, removing and blocking harmful videos and for victim protection. They also agreed to cooperate on security measures to prevent secondary harm.

AI use spreads ahead of June 3 local elections, from polls to vote count broadcasts
Generative AI is being used more widely than ever ahead of the June 3 nationwide local elections in South Korea, including in opinion polling, broadcasters’ real-time vote count analysis and explanations, and deepfake monitoring. SBS and OpenAI Korea plan to use GPT-5.5 for real-time natural-language commentary during an election night broadcast. AI-based “silicon sampling” is also drawing attention in polling, while authorities are deploying AI models to detect deepfakes.
