Dassault Systemes is holding the 16th AAKRUTI innovation competition, a design and innovation contest for students worldwide. The global finals are set to take place at Dassault Systemes\' 3DEXPERIENCE World 2027 in Nashville, Tennessee. AAKRUTI 2026 to 2027 will focus on four themes: robotics, solving community issues, healthcare innovation and mobility. Students will apply design thinking and engineering principles to develop solutions with measurable impact using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and SOLIDWORKS applications.

Uber ends Waymo hailing in app as Phoenix robotaxi pilot concludes
Waymo robotaxi hailing via the Uber app has ended in Phoenix, Arizona. CNBC reported that the two companies wrapped up the Phoenix pilot and will keep the vehicles operating locally for other uses. Uber said the Phoenix program was intentionally limited, with about 10 dedicated vehicles, and that lessons learned helped it scale quickly in Austin and Atlanta. Waymo said the pilot laid groundwork for global expansion and partnerships.

More users are spending hundreds of dollars a month on premium generative AI subscriptions such as Anthropic’s Claude Max, ChatGPT Pro and Google AI Ultra, treating them as work infrastructure rather than consumer services. Some pay more than $1,000 a month to combine token limits and strengths across models. Time savings is a key factor, though complaints about high prices and weaker performance are also growing, including around Anthropic’s Opus 4.7 model.
