Namutech starts pilot of AI agent-based XR autonomous tour
Namutech, an AI and cloud company, said on Wednesday it was selected for the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Voucher Support Project run by South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency. Working with experiential marketing firm Olymplanet, it will run a roughly seven-month pilot that integrates AI agents into web-based extended reality content to autonomously guide users by analysing interests and movement patterns.

Namutech, Seoul Tourism Organization to pursue MCP-linked AI project in tourism
Cloud and virtualization company Namutech said on Thursday it signed an MOU with the Seoul Tourism Organization to advance intelligent Seoul tourism infrastructure and build a digital ecosystem. The agreement follows the foundation’s proof-of-concept project for an Intelligent Seoul Tourism Model Context Protocol. The two will jointly push customised tourism information services using generative AI and upgrade smart tourism environments. Namutech plans to apply MCP to public tourism and link Seoul data to AI services.

Namutech posts Q1 sales of 37 billion won, up 117.6 percent on year
Namutech said on May 14 it posted consolidated first-quarter sales of 37 billion won, up 117.6 percent from a year earlier. Operating profit came to 400 million won and net profit was 800 million won. The company said profitability in its infrastructure business improved as corporate clients accelerated rebuilding virtual environments and shifting to multicloud setups, while higher hardware supply by subsidiary NamuICT and CocktailIO’s return to profit also helped.
