Namutech said on May 14 it posted consolidated first-quarter sales of 37 billion won. The figure was up 117.6 percent from a year earlier.
Operating profit was tallied at 400 million won, and net profit at 800 million won.
The company said profitability in its infrastructure business improved as corporate clients accelerated rebuilding virtual environments and shifting to multicloud setups. It also said higher hardware supplies by its subsidiary NamuICT and CocktailIO’s return to profit contributed to better results.
On a standalone basis, sales were 9.8 billion won, up 28.9 percent from a year earlier. Gross margin rose from the previous quarter to 15.3 percent.
A Namutech official said, "As the shift to virtualization and the cloud continues, related demand is being reflected in our results." The official added, "We will strengthen both our infrastructure build-out capabilities and the competitiveness of our in-house solutions to build a foundation for stable growth."
