Hashdex ETF introduces staking rewards, investors paid only above threshold

Asset manager Hashdex has introduced a staking structure for the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF, NCIQ, under which the firm keeps all net staking income up to a threshold. Investors in the fund’s common shares receive a share only once annual net staking income exceeds a dollar amount equal to 0.25 percent of common-share net asset value. Above that level, income is split 40 percent to Hashdex and 60 percent to the trust for common shareholders.

Single-stock leverage ETF margin raised to 30 million won from July 31

South Korea will bring forward measures to raise the basic margin requirement for single-stock leveraged products, including leveraged ETFs linked to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, from July 31. The Financial Services Commission will raise the requirement from 10 million won to 30 million won in cash for new trades or additional purchases. It will also restrict margin reductions by brokerages and tighten rules on recognising sale proceeds and substitute securities.

FSS issues consumer alert on single-stock leverage products

South Korea\'s Financial Supervisory Service issued a consumer alert of \"caution\" for investors in single-stock leverage and inverse products, citing rising loss risks as market volatility increases and retail funds flow in. It said the products\' market value more than doubled over 12 trading days, driven largely by retail buying. The watchdog warned of amplified losses, negative compounding effects and price gaps versus net asset value, and urged care with market orders.
