Porsche electric Boxster spotted charging at Tesla Supercharger without adapter

Porsche’s next-generation Boxster EV test car was spotted in California charging at a Tesla Supercharger, drawing attention to its launch timing and charging setup. The vehicle was seen connected directly to the North American Charging Standard (NACS) without a separate adapter. A single rear-center NACS port was observed. Porsche North America said the model remains under internal review and no sales timing or locations have been announced.

Tesla Cybercab cannot be charged at home, lacking AC charger and relying on Superchargers

Tesla\'s robotaxi-only Cybercab has been designed so it cannot be charged at ordinary homes because it does not include an onboard charger used for AC charging, the report said. It instead relies on DC fast-charging infrastructure such as Tesla Superchargers. Tesla is also preparing a wireless charging system, though a cited video put it at up to 25 kW, far below Supercharger peak output. Final specifications may still change.

Kia sets August U.S. sales record, targets EV mainstreaming with EV3 under $30,000

Kia recorded its best-ever August sales in the United States, selling 83,793 vehicles, up 1 percent from a year earlier. Several models set monthly records, while hybrid and electrified-vehicle sales hit August highs. Pure EV sales were mixed, with EV6 and EV9 down in August. Kia is launching the 2027 EV3 small electric SUV from $29,890, excluding a $1,495 delivery fee, in multiple trims with NACS charging ports.
