Water launches highway charging station search and recommendation service
Bright Energy Partners, which operates the Water fast-charging network for electric vehicles, said on Monday it has launched Water Express, a highway charging station search and recommendation service, in the Water app. The service focuses only on highway chargers, showing stations along a route in order of proximity and providing distance, number of chargers and connector type. Users can filter by connector type and charging speed and link to existing navigation apps.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 costs less than gasoline SUV on 900-km New York trip using public fast chargers
Hyundai Motor\'s electric SUV Ioniq 5 recorded a lower total cost than a gasoline SUV on a long-distance trip in New York using only public fast charging, an analysis showed. InsideEVs said the 560-mile round trip from New York City cost $620 including rental, charging and tolls. A gasoline SUV topped $750, while a hybrid crossover exceeded $700. The test used an older AWD model with a 77 kWh battery and a CCS port.

Water opens 350 kW ultra-fast chargers to Tesla vehicles
Electric vehicle charging network Water has opened its 350 kW ultra-fast chargers at highway service areas to Tesla vehicles. From May 7, Tesla owners can use ultra-fast charging infrastructure at Water’s highway service areas nationwide using a genuine Tesla DC Combo (CCS Combo 1) adapter, the company said. Water said it confirmed safety through technical verification and will provide user guidance via its app and on-site.
