LG, UNESCO launch AI ethics online education program

LG AI Research and UNESCO on Sunday held a global launch event in Seoul for the AI Ethics MOOC project and released a free online course. The programme is based on UNESCO\'s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and targets AI experts, researchers and policymakers worldwide. Delivered in 10 modules with participation from global institutions and regional experts, it is offered through Coursera. The partners plan to expand it into a training programme and broaden it to universities in South Korea.

KT M Mobile\'s mobi offers discounted unlimited roaming in four Asian countries for 990 won a day

KT M Mobile said on Monday it will offer unlimited data roaming in four Asian countries for 990 won per day to mark the launch of partner sales for its eSIM roaming service, mobi. The offer covers Japan, China, Vietnam and Taiwan. Prices are 2,970 won for three days and 3,960 won for four days. The promotion runs from July 15 to Aug. 15 via the mobi app and website and partner channels.

Korea science ministry to support return of overseas Korean tech talent teams

South Korea will support the domestic commercialisation of 20 teams of overseas Korean technology talent working in super-gap fields including AI, advanced robots, bio and aerospace, the government said. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency held a K-TECH Pioneers orientation in Seoul on July 10. The programme aims to support the return and settlement of overseas Korean talent and is linked to a government policy on securing leading AI technologies and talent.
