Mizuho says Bitcoin rebound is different this time, driven by spot and ETF demand
A recent Bitcoin-led rebound in the cryptocurrency market could be structurally more stable than past bull runs, an analysis said. Open interest remains depressed, while U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs drew about $1.9 billion in a week led by BlackRock\'s IBIT. Retail participation is still unclear, with exchange volumes weak.

Circle ahead of Coinbase renegotiation; Japan\'s Mizuho Securities warns on USDC profit model

It flagged OpenUSD as a key threat and said Coinbase could gain leverage in the next revenue-sharing talks with Circle. Mizuho also cited potential limits on yield-like returns, entry by major banks and longer-term pressure on net profit margins.
