Naver Webtoon unveils first offline Webtoonwith event to support non-capital region creators
Naver Webtoon held an offline event called Webtoonwith on July 21 at the Lavalse Hotel in Yeongdo district, Busan, to support the creative activities and networking of webtoon artists living outside the Seoul metropolitan area. The event was part of the Naver Impact program. About 50 artists from Busan, Ulsan, South Gyeongsang, Daegu and North Gyeongsang attended. Naver Webtoon plans similar programs in Daejeon in August and Gwangju in September.

Samsung Electronics Service ranks No. 1 in national customer satisfaction for after-sales service for third straight year
Samsung Electronics Service has been named No. 1 in the electronics after-sales service category of the National Customer Satisfaction survey hosted by the Korea Productivity Center, it said on Sunday. The result extends its top ranking for a third consecutive year since the category was launched in 2024. The company has also ranked first in other service quality assessments this year, and is focusing on boosting engineers’ capabilities and using an AI-based diagnostic programme, HASS.

Kalshi posts $500 million trading volume during Masters as prediction markets face rising regulatory pressure
Prediction market platform Kalshi said it recorded $500 million in trading volume during the Masters golf tournament. A post on X showed trading across winner, player and side-bet markets for the event in Augusta, Georgia, and said weekend activity rose as funds flowed in from retail investors to hedge fund participants. The surge comes as prediction markets grow around sports events and face increased regulatory pressure and market surveillance.
