Trump backtracks on Anthropic threat claims, keeps access curbs and federal ban
U.S. President Donald Trump said he no longer views Anthropic as a national security threat after meeting CEO Dario Amodei at a G7 summit, Cryptopolitan reported. Trump said it might have been different a week earlier and that he could invoke the Defense Production Act but saw no need. Existing restrictions remain, including Commerce Department approval for foreign access to two models and a Pentagon ban on federal agencies using Anthropic technology.

XRP utility grows; ETFs hold 775.4 million tokens, RWA market jumps 124 percent
XRP use expanded in the first quarter of 2026, with institutional inflows continuing via spot ETFs and growth in tokenised assets and stablecoins on the XRP Ledger, an analysis said. Messari said U.S. spot XRP ETF holdings rose to 775.4 million XRP and the XRPL-based tokenised real-world asset market grew 124 percent from the previous quarter to $2.25 billion. XRP transactions rose while broader spot and derivatives volumes fell.

XRP ETF tops crypto ETF inflows as bitcoin, ether outflows continue
XRP exchange-traded funds posted the largest inflows among crypto ETFs, with $11.88 million of net inflows on May 29, while bitcoin and ethereum ETFs recorded net outflows of $125.31 million and $17.91 million. Cumulative net inflows into XRP ETFs rose to $1.42 billion, extending a 16-session inflow streak. Bitcoin ETFs marked 10 straight sessions of net outflows, and ethereum ETFs logged 14, with BlackRock products leading recent withdrawals.
