[DigitalToday reporter Ho-jeong Lee] Netmarble's mobile idle RPG 'Stone Age Growth' has generated $15 million in lifetime revenue since its global launch.

Sensor Tower, a data analytics firm, said on Tuesday that 'Stone Age Growth' recorded 1 million cumulative global downloads and $15 million in lifetime revenue after its release on March 3. The figures are based on combined totals from Google Play and Apple's App Store. It ranked No. 1 in downloads and No. 2 in revenue in the global idle RPG genre.

Downloads came from a range of regions including South Korea (38 percent), Indonesia, India, the United States and the Philippines. Revenue was concentrated in South Korea (78 percent) and Taiwan (8 percent).

User activity in the early period after launch appeared to be maintained. A bug-fix patch, login rewards and events on March 31 boosted daily active users. Daily active users on April 4 doubled from four days earlier to hit a peak.

By age group, users accounted for 38.7 percent in the 25 to 34 bracket, 19.1 percent in the 18 to 24 bracket and 28 percent in the 35 to 44 bracket. The 18 to 34 bracket has a high share.

Sensor Tower analysed that awareness of the Stone Age intellectual property encouraged participation from existing fans and expanded to younger age groups due to the accessibility of the idle genre.
