FDE adoption expands in South Korea from external customer support to internal AX
More South Korean companies are trying to introduce forward-deployed engineer (FDE) organisations to apply generative AI to real work. The model, established by U.S. data platform company Palantir, places engineers close to the field to define problems and build tailored AI systems. Naver Cloud launched a defence AX task force highlighting FDEs, while Makinarocks has run an FDE team since 2024. Kakao and Krafton are also using FDEs to support internal AX.
