NC AI launches K-Physical AI Alliance with 53 members including Samsung SDS
NC AI, a company specialising in industry-focused artificial intelligence, has formed a large alliance to strengthen South Korea\'s physical AI capabilities. The company on Feb. 11 unveiled the K-Physical AI Alliance consortium as it joins an IITP-led technology development project for training physical AI models. The consortium comprises 53 organisations, including 15 joint research bodies and 38 demand-side members such as Samsung SDS, Lotte Innovate, Posco DX and Hanwha Ocean.

AI price war begins as physical AI market expands
Price competition among major AI companies is intensifying as providers introduce lower-priced chatbot subscriptions aimed at reducing barriers for free users to switch to paid plans. OpenAI expanded its ad-supported ChatGPT Go plan beyond India, and Google launched a $7.99 monthly Google AI Plus plan globally. Separately, companies are speeding efforts to apply physical AI in manufacturing, while startups and enterprises pursue funding, partnerships and product rollouts across robotics, automation and AI platforms.

Douzone Bizon, Lotte Innovate join hands on AI-based ERP business
Douzone Bizon said on Jan. 27 it signed an MOU with Lotte Innovate, an IT-focused unit of Lotte Group, for strategic cooperation on AI-based ERP. Lotte Innovate supports groupwide digital capabilities and leads digital transformation across industries. The partners plan to develop new business models by combining OmniEsol and DEVmember, provide technical support to customers from early stages, and train specialist staff for sales and implementation.
