Lotte said on Oct. 12 it will take part in Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2026 to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Six companies will participate: Lotte Chemical, Lotte Energy Materials, Lotte Infracell, Lotte Innovate, Lotte Global Logistics and Lotte Rental. The affiliates plan to showcase the group's mobility business, including next-generation mobility materials, artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous driving, and smart logistics.

The company explained that this year it is focusing on finding opportunities to cooperate with global companies through each affiliate's technologies and business models. Lotte first took part in Japan Mobility Show 2025 last year. At the time, it put emphasis on promoting its future mobility business based on eco-friendly energy and the group's technological capabilities in overseas markets.

The Lotte booth will be built around the concept of "L.MoVE". L.MoVE is short for "L.Mobility Value Enabler" and means a partner that creates new value in the mobility sector and leads business growth for partner companies. The booth will display Lotte's mobility value chain spanning next-generation materials through infrastructure and on to logistics and services.

Lotte Chemical will present flame-retardant materials, lightweight materials, recycled materials and unpainted design materials that do not require a painting process. Lotte Infracell and Lotte Energy Materials will display cathode foil, coated foil and copper foil for electric vehicle batteries. Lotte Innovate will roll out autonomous mobility services, AI smart tolling and a next-generation cooperative intelligent transport system (C-ITS). It is a technology that links vehicle, road and city data.

Lotte Global Logistics will introduce hydrogen trucks, autonomous driving trucks and automated loading and unloading technology. It will use them to promote its strategy for building a future logistics system based on eco-friendly and unmanned operations. Lotte Rental will unveil plans to enter the Okinawa market in Japan, led by a digital short-term rental car model that applies contactless check-in and an unmanned key box.

A Lotte official said, "This event is an opportunity to promote Lotte's competitiveness in the mobility business to global companies and find practical opportunities for cooperation." The official added, "Based on each affiliate's technologies and business capabilities, we will expand global partnerships and continue to identify new growth opportunities in the future mobility sector."
