Shinsegae I&C to launch nine models of Meta\'s new AI glasses in South Korea

Shinsegae I&C, the distributor for Meta\'s device lineup, said on Sunday it will begin full-scale distribution of Meta\'s new Glasses models in South Korea. Meta unveiled its next-generation glasses lineup at the Meta Connect 2026 event in Menlo Park, California, on Sept. 23 local time. Shinsegae I&C will handle domestic distribution of 9 models across 21 SKUs, including Ray-Ban Meta third generation and a LISA hub-up collection.

Meta unveils camera-free AI glasses amid privacy controversy, starting at $349

Meta unveiled its first camera-free AI glasses, the Ray-Ban Meta Audio, as it faces privacy concerns over earlier models. It also introduced the next-generation third Ray-Ban Meta glasses with a camera at its Connect 2026 conference. The audio-only model supports music and podcast playback, calls, voice translation and conversations with its Meta AI assistant Muse. The new glasses start at $349, weigh 43 grams and offer up to 12 hours of battery life per charge.

AMD joins $1 trillion club, speeds up chase of Nvidia on AI chips

AMD has surpassed a $1 trillion market value, supported by expanding demand for artificial intelligence chips and strong results. Revenue in fiscal 2026 second quarter rose 50% from a year earlier to $11.5 billion, with data centre sales up 107% to $6.7 billion. Shares have gained about 185% this year. AMD also announced a strategic partnership with Anthropic, including up to 2 gigawatts of GPUs and a planned $5 billion investment.
