LG U+ to support emergency medical costs for visually impaired households for Disability Day
LG U+ said on April 16 it will provide 5 million won raised through its employee donation programme, \"Love of 1,000 Won\", to support emergency medical costs for visually impaired households ahead of Disability Day on April 20. The company decided on the support in cooperation with the Korea Blind Union. Love of 1,000 Won began in 2016 and is funded through payroll deductions. Cumulative donations surpassed 300 million won as of December last year.

KakaoPay revamps telecom plan comparison service as KakaoPay Mobile
KakaoPay said on Feb. 23 it has revamped its telecom plan comparison service as KakaoPay Mobile. The service lets users compare plans from SKT, KT, LG U+ and various MVNO operators on one screen and apply for activation. It combines plan comparisons with KakaoPay Points benefits, offering up to 37,000 points depending on activation terms. Users who sign up by end-February get first-month fee waivers and support for USIM and eSIM issuance costs.

SOOP to air LCK Cup on major TV channels including Genie TV, Btv
SOOP said on Jan. 13 it will provide official broadcasts of key LCK Cup matches through cable TV, IPTV and smart TVs. It said viewers can watch clearer team-fight scenes on larger screens and check in-game UI details such as item and rune selections at a glance. SOOPTV will be available on platforms including Genie TV, Btv, LG U+, D\'Live, LG HelloVision and Seokyung Broadcasting, and via smart TV apps. It will also run an LCK analysis programme, starting Jan. 14.
